Methods & Materials Choices

Our methods and materials are chosen with intention to support our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. By selecting lower impact resources and refining our techniques over time, we create products that prioritise quality, minimise environmental impact where possible, and contribute to a more mindful future.

We use three methods to apply our designs, chosen based on the garment, artwork, and the finish required. Embroidery is used across a significant portion of our range and remains a preferred option for its durability and long lasting quality. When printing is the best fit, we use premium direct to garment printing methods for detailed results and a soft feel. Less commonly, we use direct to film printing, where designs are printed onto a film and transferred onto fabric.

For direct to garment printing, we use Kornit systems that print directly onto the garment, allowing the ink to bond into the fabric for a smooth feel and detailed results. This technology is designed to significantly reduce water use and energy use compared to many conventional textile printing processes.

For printing, we use OEKO TEX certified, vegan, water based inks that meet strict chemical safety standards. Sustainability is a priority for us, which is why we follow our ink suppliers’ guidelines for handling and disposing of any leftover ink to support responsible waste management.
